Seren in Bloom awards a blooming success

Over 50 Seren residents descended on Lysachts Institute, Newport for the Group’s 19th annual gardening awards, to celebrate our talented green fingered residents.

Formerly known as Charter in Bloom, the hugely popular awards have been rebranded, are bigger and better than ever, and are now open to all residents across the Group and not just Charter residents.

The judging panel consisted of Frances Hope, Loftus Garden Village Head Gardner and Charter tenant board member and keen gardener Lynda Rawlings.

Frances said ‘It took us two days of solid judging and was absolutely exhausting, but so rewarding.  To see the effort and creativity displayed was quite something. I have previously judged for Newport and Usk in Bloom competitions, and used both competitions as a yardstick for Seren in Bloom.  A huge congratulations to all the winners”
