We’ve teamed up with our friends across Pobl to make this year bigger and better than before. So whether you’re a budding or seasoned gardener, we want to hear from you!

*Deadline extended* Entries now close on Friday 21st July!

This year we’ve given our competition categories a shakeup, so now there’s something for everyone.

This year’s categories are:

MY GARDEN: Any size or type of garden, from front or back gardens, to patios, balconies and courtyards.

NEWCOMERS: You can enter any size or type of garden into this category, the only rule is that it must be your first time entering our gardening competition.

COMMUNAL GARDEN: Any size or type of group garden created and cared for by residents.

EDIBLE/KITCHEN GARDEN: Any size or type of garden that includes a minimum of three edible plants. (Vegetables, fruit and herbs)

CONTAINERS:  Pots or hanging baskets that will be judged on health and vigour, as well as creativity and colour co-ordination.

CRAZY CONTAINERS: Let your imagination run wild! Any unusual planted container; judged on creativity, imagination and how much it makes the judges smile.

BUG HOTEL: This is our children’s category! A homemade insect house that must be imaginative in design and use of materials.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE: If your garden makes people smile, then this category could be for you. Entries into this category will be shortlisted by our judges, and the casting vote will be made by Pobl residents and customers on our social media pages.

By entering your garden into Pobl in Bloom, you could win gold, silver or bronze standard. All entrants will be invited to spend a day celebrating their achievements with a day out to a public garden in South Wales. So what is there to lose?!

If you have a neighbour with a beautiful garden, or family member passionate about plants, you can nominate them for Pobl in Bloom too!

Good luck!
