Flying Start Comes to Fairview
Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded programme and is available in targeted areas supporting all families to give 0-3 year olds a Flying Start in life.
The scheme aims to provide intensive support services for children aged 0-3 years old and their families. The focus of the programme is on promoting language, cognitive, social and emotional skills, physical development and the early identification of high needs. We do this through the delivery of health support and guidance, parenting groups and family support, early language development support as well as funded part-time childcare. Details about these services and other information about the scheme are available through Caerphilly CBC website as well as through facebook at Caerphilly Flying Start.
After much planning and partnership working between Charter Housing and Caerphilly County Borough Council, Flying Start is now up and running on and around the Fairview Estate with fully integrated service based at the newly refurbished Fairview House. From here a team of trained Flying Start childcare staff and Health Visitors operate a dedicated service in the community.
