This is essentially a partnership between Charter, Gwerin Housing Association Newport City Council and the tenants of Barrackswood, Harlequin and Barracksfield estates. Together we are looking to improve the environment on all three estates in line with the recent “Planning for Real” consultation exercise which highlighted improvements residents would like to see in the area.To fulfil this objective a community development worker has recently been appointed by the Queensmeadow partnership to work with all parties. Recent projects have included a community litterpick as well as a project to clear a footpath between Barrackswood and Barracksfield estates.
