Customer Involvement : Charter Tenants' Fun Day 2006

Monday 10th April was the date for the launch of our new Tenants' Voice Forum. To mark the event we held a Tenants' Fun Day at Cwmbran Stadium. It was a very enjoyable day with lots of people attending and joining in with all the activities on offer.

DSCN1630Our Maintenance Department was well represented, with all our contractors having individual stands, and lots or prizes to be won. Ben Crook from our Community Initiatives Team held a football skills training session, with help from Andrew Frame and John Williams.

For the creative people we held Easter craft making and a drawing competition, judged by our very own Dennis the Menace!! We also held ballroom dancing and popstar dancing lessons which was enjoyed by all, particularly a number of staff!

There was a healthy living area, giving people a chance to identify unusual fruit and vegetables and taste smoothies. To indulge yourself you could enter the Gold Zone for relaxation and special treats including a chocolate fountain. Our Big Brother Diary Room was set up giving people the chance to have their say on camera about any issues they wanted to discuss.

The official launch of our Tenants' Voice Forum was marked with a few words by Hazel Mitchell, Chairperson of Tenants' Voice and Scott Sanders, Assistant Corporate Director. Tenants' Voice is the main forum for customer involvement in Charter. Scott explained how important it is that customers become involved and share their views and opinions about the services we provide. The day was an excellent success, lots of people joined in with all the activities and competitions on offer and we were able promote all the different ways people can get involved in having their say.

If you would like more information about how you can get involved in having your say at Charter, please contact the Neighbourhood Team on 01633 678539.
