Applying for a Transfer
Any existing tenant can register and apply for any area where we have properties. Your registration date will be the date that your current tenancy commenced. Gold Service members get additional priority for transfer properties and so it is worth joining Gold Service if you have not already done so.

Looking to Exchange
You have the right to exchange or swap properties with another Charter tenant or with the tenant of another housing association or local authority. If you find someone to swap with you must both fill out an Looking to Exchange form and both wait for permission before moving. To obtain an exchange form, email lettings@charterhousing.co.uk. Urgent Need To move
If you feel you have an urgent need to move, please speak to your Neighbourhood Manager as we may be able to award you a priority card. A priority card will give you priority over other people who apply for properties and must be used for the next suitable property in your area. Under the policy, a priority card may be issued for violence, mobility and homelessness or other management grounds.
