Mariner’s Quay – meet the builder
In November 2009, local people had the opportunity to meet members of the Mariner’s Quay project team to find out more about this exciting new development being built on their doorstep. Held at the Pill Millennium Centre, people could view development plans and artist’s impressions. Staff from Charter and Fairlake were on hand to explain what life would be like living in one of these cutting-edge homes. The Mariner’s Quay ‘vision’ was well received by local people, with over 40 of them registering interest in either buying or renting the properties.

Yes, good idea to have cheap homes available.
However, I hope that the occupants of these new homes at Mariner’s Quay are going to be vetted – other Charter Housing projects have had a tendency to develop into sink estates for benefit claimants with the accompanying social problems not long after the paint is dry.
