Learning and loving it

This autumn, Charter is running a programme from the Active Learning for Residents course; Community in Action level 2. This course is for tenants who want to learn more about housing and the communities that they live in. The qualification they earn can then build towards a NVQ.

Five Forward Together Panel members are taking part in the course which is tailored to their needs. Mentors of the course are Neighbourhood Managers Natalie Davies and Ruth Newman and Youth and Community Worker, Kerry Duke, are lending their housing experience to the students.

Christine Oakey, who is a member of the Forward Together Panel and AdaptAbility group, has been mentored by Natalie, “Charter has helped us all in lots of ways with training and education. I’ve really enjoyed all I’ve learnt especially as I’m learning with my friends.”
