Money Advice Service
From 3 October the Money Advice Service will be holding 4 weekly surgeries in Exchange House.
The Money Advice Service is a new, independent advice organisation formed to help people understand and manage their money better and to deliver free, unbiased Money Advice Sessions across Wales. The service can help our tenants make the most of whatever money they have and take steps to plan for the future. The sessions will be available to both tenants and staff. We would like to offer this service to as many tenants as possible. An Advisor will be able to see six people a day.
The Money Advice Service can offer advice to tenants on everything from budgeting to saving, credit and borrowing, insurance, pensions and retirement planning. The service can be particularly useful at key points in people’s lives, e.g, redundancy, having a baby, starting work, relationship breakdown. The service is unbiased and independent; Advisors won’t recommend or try to sell particular financial products.
So that staff have a clear understanding of what the service can offer, you are invited to attend one-to-one sessions with the Advisor at Exchange House on the following dates:
- 12 September, Project Meeting Room
10:00 – 5:00 - 13 September, Project Meeting Room
10:00 – 5:00 - 22 September, Project Meeting Room
09:30 – 2:00 - 26 September, Board Room 3
09:30 – 3:30 - 27 September, Project Meeting Room
09:30 – 2:00
We are keen for front-line staff to attend 1 session each, so that they know exactly when it will be appropriate to refer people to the service; appointments last approximately 45 minutes.
Please check out the dates and times of the above sessions and let me know if you would like to attend, and at what time, so that appointments can be allocated accordingly.
